Straková, Sára ; Blažková, Veronika (advisor) ; Hanková, Zdeňka (referee)
The diploma thesis examines the immediate leisure time of elementary school teachers working in the Skalica district, responding to the current situation where the issue of teacher burnout is increasingly acknowledged in both pedagogical and broader public discussions. Utilizing the acquired theoretical knowledge, the author characterizes free time from a historical perspective, identifying specific periods in which she observes disturbances in the utilization of leisure. The author will describe the changes reflected in the ways of spending free time nowadays The historical context enhances our understanding of the development and evolution of leisure and its content, both in the past and present, with clearly defined functions. A separate chapter delves into the description of leisure functions, providing insight into their significance. The author focuses specifically on the possibilities for spending leisure time in the Skalicky district. Finally, the theoretical part introduces us to teachers, outlining their duties and various ways of spending their leisure time. An integral part of the thesis involves empirical research conducted through a questionnaire survey, supplemented by semi-structured interviews with four primary school teachers from the selected district. The research aims to...
Human papillomavirus - prevention of cervical cancer and awareness of high school students about HPV viruses and their prevention
Dinga, Jana ; Thorovská, Alena (advisor) ; Zvírotský, Michal (referee)
This bachelor thesis is mainly focused on human papillomaviruses (HPV viruses), cervical cancer and primary prevention against HPV viruses. In the theoretical part, basic information about these viruses is described - from their history, epidemiology, risk factors that support the spread of viruses, to the ways of transmission of HPV infection and the division of HPV viruses according to their level of danger. The work also describes selected diseases caused by HPV viruses. Specifically, the work describes "less serious" genital warts (their epidemiology and incidence, mode of transmission and the way to treat or prevent this disease). A significant part of the work is devoted to cervical cancer as a disease caused by high-risk types of HPV viruses. The course of the disease and its individual phases are described in the thesis - from precancerous stages of cervical cancer to cervical cancer itself. A significant part of the work is devoted to the epidemiology of this disease and especially the possibilities of prevention against it (primary prevention, secondary prevention, etc.). In the research part, using the quantitative research method, I devised a questionnaire that was intended for high school students from the first to the fourth grade. Using the analysis of the results of the...

Assessing the Effectiveness of the Prevent Pillar of the EU Counter-terrorism Strategy
Rakovská, Petra ; Bureš, Oldřich (advisor) ; Karásek, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of terrorism prevention and counter-radicalization in the European Union. The aim of this thesis is to assess the effectiveness of the 'prevent' pillar of The EU Counter-Terrorism Strategy. Due to the lack of agreement on why people engage in terrorism, (the process of) radicalization, and measuring and conceptualizing effectiveness, a unique research framework was designed. In the absence of a 'recipe' for effective terrorism prevention, the focus is on the EU's approach, i.e. what the EU has set out for itself in the 'prevent' pillar. This research design consists of two criteria - 'progress' and 'EU involvement.' In order to assess the effectiveness of the 'prevent' pillar, each of the pillar's seven key priorities was exposed to these criteria. The findings indicate that the 'prevent' pillar is relatively effective as the progress was made in each priority area and the EU was involved considerably. As this research does not make any causality claims, these findings do not translate into the reduction of the terrorist threat. This effectiveness might as well be a result of careful wording of the pillar's priorities and their tailoring to the EU context. The main responsibility to tackle radicalization and recruitment still remains at local and national level.
